An article on Human Interest would be any article that appealed to the humanity of man. Rescuing a toddler from a well or learning that someone's dog was able to effectively perform a doggy version of the Heimlich Manuever on his owner when she was choking and dislodged the piece of food stuck in her throat. The story should be of some useful or fanciful information relating to the every day person. According to Widipaediak; From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A human interest story is a news story that discusses a person or persons in an interactive and or emotional way. It presents people and their problems, concerns, or achievements in a way that brings about interest or sympathy in the reader.
Human interest stories may be the story behind the story about an event, organization or otherwise faceless historical happening, such as about the life of an individual soldier during war-time, an interview with a survivor of a natural disaster, or profile of someone known for a career achievement.

The name says it all. Anything of human interest. Handbags, shoes, local affairs, etc. Journalist call them "evergreens", in other words, it's a story that can be published any time year round and it will always fit into a newspaper. Similar to feature articles.

I'm taking care of a 4 1/2 year old child that has cerebral palsy related to her birth, a doctors mistake, or anything about the life of an autistic child and their family, Opera had this on today.

Don't know what grade you're in nor your age....but check out issues of Reader's Digests....they always carry Human Interest stories.....they're free at your local library.
These are stories of unsolicited, randoms acts of kindness or bravery.....stories of mankind helping mankind.....stories of "miracles" or events with powerful endings that make you smile, tearful, or just say, "wow!"

Get your grandpa or grandma to tell you a story about when they were young...and write about that.
