BQ: Did you have any favorite or not so favorite stories by him. He just retired last month at 92 and then passed away yesterday. RIP Andy, I always looked forward to you even if I did not always agree.

I think he knew.
I loved him, and as much Walter Cronkite, and 92 is a good life lived long and well and he gave us reasons to watch and think and relate to his tales and quips, he will be missed,
RIP sweet Andy.

Andy Rooney quote ''If you smile when no one else is around, you really mean it'' This is true.
I remember watching 60 Minutes, just to see Andy Rooney. He was quite a character.. quite a man.
RIP Andy.

Rooney was a cultural icon. I always enjoyed him, and respected him, even if I didn't always agree with him on a given night. Plus, there's just something I enjoy about people who can irritate other people.
Especially when one can irritate idiots who post stuff like "he's in hell", even after you've passed away.

Loved Andy Rooney. He was like a good hearted but curmudgeonly uncle.
I especially appreciated how he railed against all the clutter of current times--the assault of unwanted mail whether snail mail or electronic etc. I also liked that everything wasn't "arguable" to him. He gave you his opinion straight up and you could take it or leave it. Farewell, Uncle Andy...

He was a senile arrogant self absorbed old fool who did not realize the world had passed him by. He loved talking down about the X generation and Grunge rock when it was his ideas that were ancient. He is dead and he didn't care in the existence of God so he is in Hell. His 60 minutes are up.

He was 92, lived a full life...it still bothers me, though. I enjoyed all his books and now I will pull them out and reread them.

Total! Moment of silence... He was kinda silly but...He will always have a place in my silly heart!

We lost someone who seemingly was never afraid to tell it like it is, whether you agreed with him or not.
