Air America isn't dead but it is on major life support.
Remember how the call was Air America was going to wipe out Rush and Hannity and storm the airwaves?
It didn't happen.
Rating?
In Arbitron's Winter 2006 ratings book, the most recent available as of May 2006, ratings at Air America stations nationwide averaged a low 1.2 share in markets for which Arbitron reports results four times a year.
Some of the network's highest ratings come from station KPOJ in Portland, Oregon, where the station ranks second among AM stations and sixth overall. Other markets with previously high ratings include Seattle and Madison, Wisconsin. WXXM in Madison had announced on November 10, 2006 it would switch to all sports programming by the end of the year.[24][25] Following a very vocal backlash from the station's listeners[26] and syndicated hosts,[27] Clear Channel in Madison later backtracked, deciding to leave the progressive talk format on the station.[28]

So if all you got to show is Portland....
I think you are the one with wishful thinking.
And when Randi Rhodes can't walk and chew gum than try to blame conservatives for her falling down.

Air America is not a power house.
So I think you need to get a grip.
If Congress does pass the "Fairness Doctrine" Air America will have conservative voices on there won't that be a hoot.
NY Times OK

"While ongoing negotiations to buy the beleaguered radio network Air America have kept its future in a state of limbo, the company had one bit of good news last week."
Please note how they refer to Air America as "beleagured"
That is not good.

Nassua Broadcasting Takes Air America Off Air
If you are going to slam a source that is OK when it is the only one saying it.
It isn't the only one talking about the trouble Air America is doing.
