Yesterday they told us the next ten days are the most critical for the Republican primary. Ron Paul is getting way too much support despite all the spin they've added to the race, so they shut down the comments and blamed it on technical difficulty. The comments will be back, as soon as they have a juicy story they think we'll all buy.

The truth is the mortal enemy of the lie. Yahoo stopped all truth from being told. Ron Paul is gaining way too many followers and like every other Corporate Banking Owned company, they followed orders and shut down free speech. Welcome to the New World Order.
Obama just signed Senate Bill S.1867 into Law, basically ending the Bill of Rights. The Government can now arrest and detain any American Citizen and hold them indefinitely without charge or access to a court, as you are now considered an enemy combatant and a prisoner of war if you do not follow their orders.
Congress has officially declared war on it's own citizenry!!

Because they have figured out that the majority of comments are going to be conservative in nature and we would have had a friggin' FIELD DAY today with all of the left-wing liberal pravda-esque articles online.

They are scared that Ron Paul got too much attention and support even though they are trying to show Gingrich on the headline and ignore Paul all the time. Ron Paul 2012.

Those in power like to restrict opinions and free speech. I remember when yahoo took down the chat boards in 2006 because too many people were communicating. We are only supposed to belve what they tell us to believe. I will vote for Ron Paul, regardless of what the media says. There are no Gingrich or Romney supporters other than the media and corporations.

Welcome to the new world order. They say it might be a technical glitch... I doubt it. Too many aware people speaking the truth during financial crisis and Republican primaries.

Financial's are down too, no one can comment on just how great everything is and, of course we are not worried about the future because the present looks so Rosy.
I think it is just the shear volume is making it impossible for them to do their usual policing of words.

Noticed how much B/S has come from the authors of such articles? They make the wildest spins and they're being called out on such...
There are a lot of sheep.. But there are also a lot of free thinkers.
Hopefully they bring comments back because not only are the stories jacked...(complete lies), but everything has a liberal spin... It's good that people call 'em out on their B/S.
So they had to take down the comments to censor opposing views.. The media has to change it's strategy if they want their messiah to win reelection.
I suspect more of these "surprises" the closer we come to the election.
No worries tho. By the time the GOP wins back everything, they'll have comments back within 24 hours.

Yahoo has censored Americans exercising free speech, and independent thought on Yahoo News. The big question is why, but everyone knows the answer.
There is something deeply wrong with this country. Our rights taken away, Economic War declared on the citizens, complete voting fraud, open tyranny run a muck in the Imperial Capital DC etc.... As much as I pray not to see it, I feel something very terrible is going to happen in this country, that makes what Nazi Germany did pre-WWII look like a Green Peace effort. Am I alone in this feeling? Did the founding fathers go to war against England for less?

Hard to understand. As late as Saturday 4/9'16 there were a few articles with the old format. Today,I have been unable to find any that allow you to review others' opinions of one's thoughts. This seems to mean that Yahoo is ignoring its readers opinions.

For the last several days there have been some glitches with the comments section. Difficulty getting it to scroll to earlier responses, opening up the responses to a comment posted or even consistantly seeing the comments appear on some pages. This maintainance was overdue so lets cut Yahoo! some slack and hope that they can finally address the problems that have compromised the comments section.

This Couric woman you have lately employed. She has been dumped from her last three shows. Deservedly. Why have you picked up this loser? Can't you find a vibrant smart winner instead of her. I like your home page (have for years) but if she's staying: I'm leaving.

Most of what I had read on almost any article was strongly against the government. I am thinking they are fearing an uprising and have strong armed yahoo into eliminating an irritant.

Because they have/are doing their best since day 1 to ignore Ron Paul just like every other media has been doing with the sole purpose to push down our throats the illegal Kenyan or the pig Gingrich or the rest of them. Not the media, not the radio/t.v. hosts, not Yahoo, not the newspapers, not Hollywood will decide for us, not this time. RON PAUL 2012!!! Even if we have to write him in.

All of the computer warriors are upset because they can't leave their hateful comments. I hope the comments section disappears completely from their site.

This is the new comments section! Use the story headline as the question title. Search on "No cellphones, no texting by drivers, US urges"

If you control the vocabulary, you control thought = political correctness (see "1984" Newspeak)
If you remove the means of speech, there can be no dissent = reason for no comment section

I'm not sure, but it's saving me a lot of time getting irritated with all the garbage and conspiracy theories that are usually being spouted at the end of every article.

Go to CNN news where they have a comments section and they don't read them before posting.

Here it is 2017 and cannot comment or read comments on most of yahoo articles. I've avoided yahoo for two months now, guess it's time to avoid them again. The best thing about reading any of their articles was reading the comments and also being able to throw in your opinion. Without that, what's the use of reading what 1 person who writes for yahoo thinks.

MSN is doing the same thing. They are squashing public opinion and debate. It is a violation of freedom of speech, if they are doing it to effect our right to be heard, our laws and votes...

Last week my avatar and name disappeared and I can't get into my profile. They're saying it's "forbidden".
