It sounds like you might go to a private school. Sometimes religious schools are really strict in these ways. (Not to say that one is better than the other) Ultimately, it is your choice whether you stay or not, so if it bugs you then leave and find a real college that will treat you with the respect and dignity that you deserve.

The reason I bring up the type of school you attend is because sometimes I think the government has really restricted power to act on things like these, although this seems really harsh.

I know, from personal experience with working with local Congressmen, that they are willing to help you. I would contact the local congressmen at both where your campus is, as well as where your family lives, just to cover all options. They'd be willing to help I bet.

Is this in the US?

Otherwise you can just disregard my answer.

It isn't likely that any of the actions are actually mentioned in the school rules and regulations, so what you need to do is start a diary where you write up every single occurrence of the kind you mentioned. Date, time, name of people involved, what exactly happened. It might also be helpful to get a few others on the boat who feel that the behaviour of the school is unacceptable.

Once you have documented enougn of the abuse, you and those who back you should get in touch with the ACLU and talk to them about what could be done.

Actually, get in touch with the ACLU immediately via email, they should be able to direct you to exactly what you need.

That does not sound like anything reportable- especially if the college is a private college, especially the church-based schools.

If you proceed, document the problems as best you can, and document how they violate the school's policies and guidelines.

On the other hand, if the rules were explained early on, you don't have much of a leg to stand on.

Maybe you should start with the local authorities first. Make sure you have undisputable proof when you do make your accusations though.
