If the news tells you something do you always believe it? Why do you think the news would lie? Do you feel like you still have the freedom of speech? Do you feel that the government screens the truth?

No, most of the news is not really "news" but disguised advertisements.... And even real news is after all a story told by a reporter based on certain facts, it cannot be unbiased and objective ever. Sometimes it is subconscious, but mostly news has strong hidden agendas we need to be aware of.
and yes the government censors a lot of things...

No, I don't believe everything I hear from TV. I apply the first thing that was taught to me when questioning a suspect "why is this person lying to me?"
Everyone has beliefs and adjendas. I was reading on a blog that the Democratic party is being sued. I have seen nothing on the MSM
And of course we don't know everything going on and we shouldn't because our enemies would know what's going on
